The presenter for this meeting is David Lipscomb with the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative (Coop) with news of the new last mile fiber optic network project the Coop has begun. At this time, Bill Wilson and Amanda Jordan were the first customers to be brought on line. Both were to present their experiences with testing the new network at the Coop's project announcement in Chase City the next day. The board voted to support the Coop's last mile project and Bill Wilson will continue to work with the Coop and/or report on their progress.
